FAQ's
|
| By
attending this event, I acknowledge that shoe shopping
can be an inherently strenuous activity and that no event
is without risk. I also acknowledge that when high quality
footwear is heavily discounted shoe shoppers can become
overly zealous and may run, push or shove - while this
behavior is not tolerated it unfortunately does happen
quite frequently. I have consulted with my physician regarding
my physical capability to participate in this event and
am following my physicians advice. I here by waiver all
claims against Shoe Frenzy, Women's Clinic & Family
Counseling Center, all event sponsors and volunteers,
the City of Culver City, the Veteran's Memorial Complex,
and any personnel functioning with respect to the event
for any injury, accidents, or physical conditions I might
suffer in this event. I grant full permission for organizers
to use my name, likeness, or voice and photographs, videotapes,
or quotations from me in accounts and promotions in any
medium of this event, and of the activities of Women's
Clinic & Family Counseling Center. This permission
is perpetual and worldwide. |

Rules:
|
| In
consideration of the neighbors and in compliance with
the Culver City noise ordinance the line up for the event
officially starts at 7am. |
 |
| When
you arrive you will be given one wristband. If you have
a friend who is coming later you cannot save them a place
in line and you cannot request a wristband for them. So
if your friend is parking the car - they will get a wristband
with a later number and will be farther back in line.
One wristband per person. |
 |
| The
wristband you have been issued does not save your place
in line. You must stay in line to insure your entrance
into the venue. |
 |
| No
bags or boxes are permitted in the auditorium, purchases
are limited to what you can carry. |
 |
| Remember
this is a charity event, we are here to raise money to
help women, please be kind to those around you. Anyone
seen pushing, shoving or cutting in line will be removed
by security. |
 |
Why
do your donors sometimes change from year to year?
We appeal to many designers and brands. Their ability
to participate in Shoe Frenzy is usually based on their
inventory or their company policies. If your favorite
brand is not featured, it does not necessarily mean that
they do not support Shoe Frenzy or other worthy causes.
It may mean simply that they had no inventory to donate. |
 |
How
many shoes are there?
Each year Shoe Frenzy features thousands of pairs of shoes.
|
| |
What
if I need a certain size or style?
The selection at Shoe Frenzy is on a first come, first
served basis. Since the shoes we receive are selected
by the donor, certain styles and sizes may be limited
due to the quantity donated. |
 |
How
many people are let in at a time?
If people enter the auditorium CALMLY - then we will be
able to let in at least 300 people when the doors open.
More people will be let in as people leave. In order to
be able to keep letting more shoppers in there is no loitering
in the venue, you will be asked to leave after you have
made your selection. If you have a friend that may take
longer to shop please make arrangements to meet them OUTSIDE
the venue when they are done. This will be strictly enforced
so that we can keep the line of people moving into the
venue. We want everyone to have the opportunity to shop. |
 |
If
I'm towards the end of the line, will there be anything
left when I get in?
Stock is available on a first come, first serve basis,
some selection is limited in certain sizes. Whether or
not you will find a pair you really want is based on the
number of pairs the people in front of you purchased,
your personal taste in shoes, and your shoe size. Sometimes
the last people in line find shoes they love, while someone
who came in earlier did not. |
 |
Is
there a limit to the number of shoes that I can purchase?
No. You may purchase as many pairs as you like. |
 |
How
much are the shoes discounted?
All shoes are discounted 50-90% off retail prices. The
rule created over ten years ago was that all shoes were
always priced $50 or less, as of Shoe Frenzy 2005 all
shoes will be priced $100 or less. This rise in the price
limit reflects the higher quality of footwear now available,
Shoe Frenzy features some shoes with retail prices well
over $500. Additionally as the need for low-cost health
care for the uninsured continues to rise, so does the
need to raise more funds. Please remember all proceeds
benefit Women's Clinic and Family Counseling Center. |
 |
What
methods of payment do you accept?
Cash, check (with valid identification), and Visa or Mastercard.
Checks should be made payable to Women's Clinic. Visa
or Mastercard with valid picture identification. Your
credit card statement will show a charge from Women's
Clinic. |
 |
Why
do you only have Shoe Frenzy once a year?
Shoe Frenzy is entirely planned by the Staff and Board
of Women's Clinic & Family Counseling Center. It takes
us a year to plan and acquire the shoes needed for the
sale. |
 |
What
if I change my mind about my Shoe Frenzy purchase after
the sale?
All sales are final at Shoe Frenzy so please choose carefully.
Keep in mind - your purchase raises much needed funds
for Women's Clinic! |
|

can I be notified of future Shoe Frenzy events?
